I wasn't too happy how this turned out at first. I used a paper that does not scan well when used with coloured pencil. I know now not to use any cold press style paper for coloured pencil. I just don't get what I want!So, after a few adjustments, I decided to post it on my gallery.

I know what you mean about cold press papers...they scan horribly. However, this image, with its composition, expression and color, overcomes that obstacle. Love the movement and colors, the girl's alice-in-wonderland expression, and the bird's hands! Fabulous, and I can only imagine how charming it is in person!

Oh! I've never seen anything like this before. This is amazing! Nice work, really! The girl looks so sweet and the animals..it gives the picture something extra, especially the way you captured them. Their feathers look fantastic. Nice shading, too.

Yeah, I've had that problem with cold-press, too. Hot and really cheap 90-lb watercolor paper seem to work ok.

I'll try to find some articles about the scanning issue. I'm sure somebody somewhere has fixed this problem with cold-pressed paper.

just wondering, after reading your explanation, what kind of paper that suits colored pencils (that will show best result when scanned, coz i had that kind of problem too lately)?

The color choices are simply perfect. I love how they all tie into her dress colors and are so complimentary. There is a wonderful storybook feeling coming off of this one in particular that I'm in love with. Another masterpiece!
