I don't know the guy, but the image is fresh and full of energy. Do you have developed any personal photoshopbrushes? The brushstrokes seems so thrown at the canvas.

I use basically Chalk brushes. They come free with any Photoshop 8...
Note: The red strokes are real.

Ok. It was especially the red strokes I had in mind. These strokes are essential for your image .Both because of the strokes splatterd shape and it's contrast in colour.
