UPDATED: Took a new photo of this painting today that showed the colours up perfectly without oversaturation like my previous camera did.

"Ashlight Song" - a painting depicting eleven Willy Wagtails singing together against a smoudlering night sky, illuminated by the smoke of a bushfire. Influenced by the tragedy of the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria earlier this year, and in memory of those who died.

You can see this painting up close at the Brisbane RNA Show this year, in the Native Australian Flora and Fauna section of the Fine Arts pavillion.
