Ghost type moves don't even affect normal types. But if I had a poison type move that took advantage of haunter's high special attack... anyway, dream eater would work fine.

I think all or most of the pokemon you mentioned can learn ground type moves though (before gen 3 they don't have levitate) and maybe bite or crunch.

With Linoone, honestly (don't tell him, but) I keep him around for the free 10% chance to get an item after every battle. Slaking, I keep rest and yawn on him, just to be THAT GUY, but you're right, they can. Honestly, by the time I have ground or dark types, it's usually just AFTER the ghost-type area was needed to be explored. BUT THAT'S MY LUCK.

My DS is broken too. The top screen keeps trying to fall off, but it works perfectly.

I'm lucky the screen hasn't broken. If only the DS was a durable as the gameboy advance sp. I've probably dropped it more times and its only a bit worn.
