Description
IT SEEMS UNREAL. It seemed unreal. So fast, we were spread into the basic mechanism of survival. Bright lights shone above; cold, calculating, not warm. The stung my eyes with an artificial glare. There was no welcoming into existence, only pain. I cried- squeaked-, gripping at the loose dirt. My inevitable light, tired squeaking wouldn't be heard. I was apparently the first out of dozens to come up. I was stuck in the ground, trying to shuffle my weak legs out of the hole they dug. Our kind does not care about blood line or heritage- for that reason, none of us knew who our parents really were. I had to learn to breathe. I need to thrive. Which took some time. My sight was fuzzy- but I was a ghostly pale kind of creature. Laced in mucus, the dry, rough dirt stuck to my arms and neck. We had been in the ground for 20 years, what else did they want?
About 8 hours of slowly painting! I'm happy enough with this guy's transparency for a first time. I suggest viewing in a different tab to get a nice atmosphere.
