Description There wasn't an official meeting room in the house, so they arranged as many chairs as they could around the closest table.
"It's not exactly the round table of the knights of Camelot, but it'll do," Mekeke said.
"Will Shurara be here?" Hanana asked, hoping for a 'no'. Shurara was a frightening figure in her mind and she wasn't ready to meet him yet. She hoped she would never have to meet him.
"No," Putata said.
Hanana sighed in relief.
Nuii and Gyroro turned up just a little while later. Gyroro was pouting with his arms crossed. When he passed Hanana she could hear him grumbling quietly to himself. Nuii paused to say hello, then dragged Gyroro back to properly greet her.
"Did the dress work out?" she asked.
Hanana nodded. "Thank you for altering it."
Nuii bowed her head and skipped off to her chair. Mekeke was placing books on the seat so that she could be seen over the table's edge.
Giruru came back from wherever he'd disappeared to with his brother in tow. Dokuku wasn't as scary now that she could see him more clearly. He tried to speak to her, but all he could say was "doku".
"He says he's sorry if he's frightening," Giruru translated.
"It's alright," Hanana said to Dokuku.
Dokuku nodded at her, then floated past.
"He cares too much about other people," Giruru said. "He's a handful to take care of, but family needs to look out for each other."
"That's sweet," Hanana said.
Giruru blinked and shrugged. "If you say so." He followed his brother deeper into the house.
Everyone sat down around the table, trying in vain to get some personal space. Chair legs scraped against the floor and banged into each other. Hanana found herself sitting between Putata and Yukiki. Her back was to the wall, so that meant no escape. She swallowed apprehensively.
"Are we going to do this without Robobo?" Kagege asked.
"He said he was busy."
"Can't be helped I guess. We'll fill him in later."
"Let's get started," Putata said, dropping the stolen papers on the table. "So we've got the targets in here with all their weaknesses written out for us. We can read these, then set up traps for them, get the star for Shurara and be done."
"We could use puppets," Mekeke suggested, holding one up.
"We're not going to use puppets," Giruru said. "We should go after them all together."
"We're assassins, not an army," Kagege countered. "We need to be more subtle. Everyone will know about us if we all just attack."
Hanana looked at Putata who was just listening and nodding, a smile still on his face. Yukiki appeared to be worlds away. It seemed he couldn't care less what they decided. Hanana decided it would be best to remain silent.
"This is boring," Gyroro complained. He unexpectedly grinned, light flashed off of sharp teeth. "Now if I was spying on them and stuff that would be fun. And Nuii could make them into dolls."
Hanana stared at Nuii. For such an innocent and sweet looking thing, Nuii's power was terrifying.
"Shouldn't we start with the basic problem of the police being on the lookout for us?" Samama cut in.  "We need to lie low for a while, and then charge in when they least expect it."
"We could bribe the police," Giruru said.
"And where do we get the money from?"
Mekeke glanced sideways at Putata. "Putata's family has money. We could-''
"No." Putata's smile had twisted into a grimace.
"Come on, it's for the corps."
"No."
Putata came from a rich family? Hanana tried to imagine and found that she couldn't.
"So what you're saying is that we should attack them one by one?" Giruru was still arguing with Kagege. "There are five of them.  Not that I couldn't take them, but wouldn't it be easier to just wipe them out with one swoop?"
"They're a group of incompetents," Kagege pointed out. "Two of us could get rid of the five them easily."
"They have allies who'd protect them."
"Oh, so you don't think you could handle it?"
"I didn't say that!"
Hanana grabbed the newspaper that was still on the table. She searched for something of interest. Then she saw something that made her cry out.
"What is it?" Putata asked. All eyes turned to her.
Hanana set the paper down and tapped a picture with her finger. "This is the man who…you're after?"
Everyone craned their necks to see. They nodded. Hanana pressed her lips together. The man in the picture didn't look like a bad man. She'd heard of him, in fact. If she told them what she'd just found out, this man would be in danger. But she had hope that they wouldn't actually kill him. They'd said something about taking something from him. That didn't necessarily mean "kill" did it?
"It says that there's going to be a big Christmas ball on the floating ballroom airship. The sergeant and his entire platoon will be there and I don't think they'd expect an…attack," she said.
The entire corps stared at her, eyes wide. Hanana squirmed.
"Sounds like a decent plan," Kagege said.

I actually just started reading this series today, and I am greatly impressed. You have all the characters' personalities in check, their line of work, even their attire can be imagined so vividly. I can't wait for more to come out, this is just fantastic, well done.
