Official Text: "Joining the gang in the second year, Kagura brings a feisty, competitive spirit to Miss Yukari's class. However, that spirit breeds rivalries; some Kagura welcomes(Sakaki), and some she doesn't(Tomo). On the surface, she may seem like Tomo's twin partner in crime, but in her heart is the unselfish desire of a true athlete: to do her best.My comments: In my book, I like her about as much as Yomi. She's very firey... but at the same time, she's not a selfish brat like Tomo. I've always liked people that have courage and loyalty. Too many times, I have the displeasure of being screwed over by people that only think of themselves. As an added plus, she loves video games, gotta like that... There's my take on my affection for Kagura and my annoyance from Tomo. My friend Georgia commented on the drawing, saying Kagura looks just like my former mentor when she was in high school, that's rather errie in some respects, because aside from the brown hair... yeah, they are pretty much twins. Hope you guys like it...

Fun fact; Kagura was the very first character in Azumanga Daioh I ever knew. In fact, she actually led to me discovering the show in the first place. 😀
I first saw her years ago while watching videos of people playing the online fighting game M.U.G.E.N. I noticed the game gave her some fire-type abilities (not even kidding, this game turned her into a friggin FIREBENDER! 🔥), and that led me to believing that Azumanga was like another magical girl show, and she was the main character. And then I looked the show up, and realized it wasn't what I thought it was. No magical girls, just plain ol high school girls, and instead of Kagura being the main character, she shares the main character status with some other girls. So yeah, that was kinda disappointing...😧
BUT! That didn't stop me from being interested in the show. Sometime after I graduated middle school, I began actually watching the show. Started with a few short clips, then the actual episodes. And wouldn't you know it, like a fish on a line, I was HOOKED! 😁

Kagura would make a good friend...but Girlfriend? I would...sadly, pass on that.
If any of the Azumanga girls would be my girlfriend... i would go with either Tomo or Sakaki... Tomo would be first choice though. She might have a hard personality, but i like that and appreciate it too. Plus, she has better looks then Kagura and has more femininity as well...
Great job on her pose and the overall sketch. It's odd how their uniforms are so short... It would be hard not trying to reach above their heads..

I'm just like you ya know, i'm very indecisive... But all in all, i cant help but to go with the happy, go getter types, just like Tomo... I have a "girl" friend who is almost just like Tomo, and i find my time with her the best i have ever experienced...
(I bet a day of fun and excitement with Tomo would be the most pleasurable thing i would have ever done...

yeah georgia said that cassie and poor kagura never liked posing for things and got all shy in the spotlight.... wonder what it's like.... i never had that problem, HAHAHA
