Description The Ekb is an invasive creature that inhabits the northern tundras. Their morphology resembles a bristle worm with a second head emerging from the midle of the body, being able to reach the incredible size of fifteen metres long.
The creature lays eggs on the ground which lay until the spring, where the melting snow will carry it towards rivers and lakes, there the larvae will sustain itself with plankton until a host consumes them. Once inside the larvae will begin to eat the host from the inside, growing proportionally to the ammount of food around.
The host will experiment disentery, stomach pains, feebleness and rapid loss of mass. Once the host is dead the Ekb will eat through the body emerging as an adult. Once free, it will start hunting for smaller creatures to hunt. If food is scarce it will resort to canibalizing it's own tail and the heads will fight to eat eachother.
The species resembles a much smaller species of bristle worms that inhabits the tropical oceans, how that species came to be on the nortern tundra or the nature of the changes in shape, size and behavior is subject to debates among the researchers to this day. Supertitious locals believe the Ekb is the product of a curse which weakens the body and soul until death where it will escape the grave of the host as a corporeal being, others believe it is capable of self-fertilization due to the two heads, these tummors are met with skeptiscism by most.
