Description Welcome to this filler episode of the Deadliest Warrior. In this match-up, we'll be pitting the Apache against the Comanche, two of the finalists of the first two seasons of the Deadliest Warrior.

Before the final battle, we'll be testing 4 of Apache weapons: the tomahawk, the knife, Apache bow and arrow, and the war club. We'll be also testing 4 of the Comanche weapons: the war hawk, the war lance, the Comanche bow and arrow, and the scalping knife. Who will be deadliest?

For the short-range weapons we're pitting the Comanche's war hawk against the Apache's tomahawk. The two weapons are variations of each other, but when the war hawk strikes somebody, the wielder's force gets channelled through a narrower point, giving it a greater killing power. Plus, the sharper point allows the war hawk to penetrate armour, while the tomahawk can't. Edge – war hawk.

For the mid-range weapons we're pitting the Apache's knife against the Comanche's war lance. The war lance can be used on horse as well as on foot, can stab as well as slash, plus it has a longer range as well. The knife, on the other hand, can be wielded by hand as well as thrown at the more distant targets, giving it a greater range. Edge – knife.

For the long-range weapons we're pitting the Comanche's bow and arrow against the Apache's bow and arrow. Both weapons are equally deadly and are basically the same weapon, but the Comanche's bow and arrow can be fired on horse, as well as on foot, while the Apache's weapons cannot. Edge – the Comanche bow and arrow.

For the special weapons we're pitting the Apache's war club against the Comanche's scalping knife. Both are effective weapons, but the war club can kill an enemy in a single blow, while the scalping knife can't. Edge – war club.

Battle re-enactment

A trio of Apaches are guarding the campfire of their tribe. An equal number of the Comanche sneak up on them (their horses remain grazing some distance behind). One of them fires his bow and arrow and hits one of the Apaches, killing the man.

As the remaining Apaches begin to look around for their attackers, the Comanches get onto their horses and charge at them with their war lances. The Apaches see them and fire from their own bows, killing one of the Comanches, but missing the other two. Their arrows, however, distract the Comanches, causing them to miss the Apaches and whirl their horses around.

By now, the Apaches grab their melee weapons – a tomahawk and a war club, and charge at the Comanches. Only one of the Comanches is able to ready his horse for another charge – the other grabs his war hawk and charges at the Apaches on foot. The tomahawk-wielding Apache throws his tomahawk at the horse-riding Comanche, who dodges it, and impales the now-weaponless Apache on his war lance.

Meanwhile, the other Apache fights with the horseless Comanche. Both exchange blows, and the Comanche's war hawk is able to wound the Apache, but the latter retaliates, hitting the Comanche on the head with his war club, killing him.

The remaining Comanche rides by, trying to impale the last Apache on his war lance. The Apache dodges, but drops his war club in the process and falls down himself as well. Seeing this, the last Comanche gets of his horse and pulls out his scalping knife to scalp the Apache. As he approaches, however, the last Apache jumps onto his feet and throws his own knife, hitting the Comanche in the throat, killing him instantly.

Team Apache wins.

Well, good fight, but I think you could have change the placements for the Short, Mid, and Special weapons for both warriors. I think it should have been Apache's Knives vs Scalping Knife, Tomahawks vs War Lance, and War Club vs War Hawk.

Also, aren't the Comanche and Apache's bows the same? I don't think going on horseback really change anything.

I think I would have given some edges differently, but not sure who would have won in that fight still. Hope that I manage to fix one of my problems someday, if I'd only manage to get time.

It's a nice match up but the simulation is a bit rushed and I like to see a kill count in a squad fight.

Will do that in my next match-up, thanks for advice.
