This piece will be in North Carolina from Sept 5th to Oct 7th. So if you just happen to be passing though Greenville NC, stop by the Wellington B. Gray Gallery and you can see it in person. Whoop-dee-do!

Your very, very talented, I would be interested to know where you get your inspiration from when you make your pieces.

Well, thank you. It varies from piece to piece, often times I'll find something in a secondhand store, or antique store, take it apart, learn how to make it then make my own with some "modifications". The Carnival necklace was inspired by a type of "moving picture" book. So I tend to look well outside the realm of jewelry, or art and try to find other things that intrest me and then figure out how to make them workin the context of jewelry.

Thanks
Brad

How interesting, always loved pulling things apart as a child to discover how it worked..well keep up the fab work.

These are tiny little turning wheels! Eee, I've been making them out of paper, so cool.
What a fabulous idea

Yep, that's exactly where I got the idea, I've tried to do smaller ones but I have to bend the metal so much to get them together, I lose all the paint in the process.
What are you doing in paper?

A long term project of paper mechanics, pop ups, and moveable bits, in a book.
I'll probably never finish it, but hey, *grin*.

Yeah, I know how that is, I'm trying to learn how to do all of that in metal right now. I have no idea if any of them will ever become finished pieces or not....but with any luck!
