Personality: Farewell comes off as a distant observer, a stranger who is trying to fit in. She's not very expressive and wears a sad, tired expression despite not feeling as such. While she doesn't have much experience in making friends as an introvert, she's actually a great listener and a reliable friend. Farewell struggles with hesitancy -- she has trouble making her own choices, as well as taking stances and making opinions. She, sometimes to her detriment, prefers to stay neutral and keep out of conflicts. Farewell's a bit absentminded, getting lost in her head and losing the passage of time easily. That, and her habit of taking midnight strolls, makes her come off as a bit of a local mystery. Being a literal ghost only adds to it.

     • HISTORY
Past:
    ° Once upon a time, two loving selkies had a son named Oleander. He was a young boy, excitable, curious and playful, making friends with other kids. He sadly succumbed to illness at a young age. In their grief, the parents swam up to the surface during the full moon and left an offering to the moon on the rocks, pleading to bring their son back. The moon agreed to help them, but being a trickster god by nature, decided to test the selkies' love. The moon told them to return in three days' time. On the third night, they found a baby wrapped in seaweed, selkie but not quite, their child but not quite.
    ° Their dear Oleander was gone and in his place the moon gave the pair a new child, they soon discovered. Half selkie half ghost, young and curious like their lost son but soon the differences in personality became apparent as the new child preferred to play alone, wasn't so expressive, wasn't so playful. They were given a new first name: Farewell, for they were the Farewell to Oleander.
    ° Farewell grew up trying to live up to being the perfect son she never was, never could be. She used to resent the moon for its trickery and making her a ghost, having to put up with invisible spirits trying to talk to her. Over the years she made peace with her nature and distanced herself from her immediate family, opting to be more of a lone soul, until one day she found a magical amulet washed up on the shore, the final excuse to leave her hometown and live elsewhere.

Now:
    ° Farewell's still adjusting to being a witch and living in a wholly different place. She's trying to fit in with the citizens of Lilypad, picking up the common hobbies of catching bugs, fishing, and gardening [which turned out to be a very fun hobby]. Farewell's trying to meet new people for the first time in her life knowing they don't know about her otherness [finally, she doesn't stand out as the ghost of a selkie]. She's trying to find her purpose in life.

    ° Opinion on Raiders: Sort of feels bad for their cursed existence, but also suspicious of any Raiders due to their track record.
    ° Opinion on Witches: A lot of them are stuck-up and think themselves as better than others. Not very thrilled over being a witch herself, but they're not going to complain.

Shapeshifting [Witch]
    ° As a Witch, Farewell can freely shapeshift into other forms. These forms can be affected by her potions: gaining extra aquatic traits via Finned Friend, gaining the alt wisp tail and ghostly properties via Haunted Presence, and both when combined.
Long Lifespan [Witch]
    ° As a Witch, Farewell has a long life ahead of her.
• Water Mastery [Witch]
    ° Farewell can create and manipulate water, ice and other liquids with ease. She can also spend long periods underwater without having to surface.
• Earth Manipulation [Witch]
    ° She can manipulate earth, dirt, sand as well as plants and wood. She can also speed up their growth. Not very good at it.
Fire Manipulation [Witch]
    ° She can manipulate existing fire sources and change the color of the fires. Not very good at it, even a simple manipulation requires immense focus.
• Witch Blessings [Witch]
    ° She can grant freeform blessings onto fellow Villagers.
Floating Wisps
    ° She can summon will-o-wisps that float around her and light the way in darkness. They can be any color, and radiate no heat.
Invisibility & Intangibility
    ° As part-ghost, they can control how opaque or transparent they appear to others. She can also go intangible and pass through solid objects.
Floating
    ° Farewell can float in the air, but it's not very fast.
• Fullbody Glow
    ° She is able to emit a faint fullbody glow at will.
• Ghost Sight
    ° Farewell can see ghosts and spirits as well as communicate with them. These souls are often lost and unable to find peace and need the help of a spirit guide to either: accept that they've passed away, experience a past memory, visit a certain location, etc. Farewell doesn't enjoy being bothered by them and rarely ever helps. It's a thankless job anyways. Too bad for them.
• Sealskin
    ° As a selkie, Farewell is able to summon her true fur coat which holds many of her powers. If the skin falls into someone else's hands, Farewell will be bound to them and unable to return to the sea until she recovers what's rightfully hers.
