While taking a Photoshop class, an image like this was used to create a "Fresco" painting which was quite interesting and I could do the same for this image if you would like. However, the image appears to be washed out. Did it look like that when you took the shot?

It was not so different - The ingredients were :
- A very nice & coloured village
- A cloudy weather
- Waves
and of course 3 shots done for HDR & some contrast (not a lot)

I'll apply the same "Fresco" effects to your photograph and will let you know how it turns out.

Yes, this village exists ...and colours/lights were due to 3 different exposed photos of the same shot

One of the best things a photo can do for me is to make me want to take the next plane to anywhere just with my camera and my backpack. I can almost hear the waves slashing on the shore and smell the coming rain.
