Enguarde the Swordfish is an Animal Buddy in the Donkey Kong series who first appears in Donkey Kong Country; he shares the most number of appearances in the series with Squawks the Parrot (though Squawks only carries a flashlight and is not playable in the original Donkey Kong Country).Related content

Not to mention he got out-appearanced by Squawks after he failed to make the cut in Returns (water kills Kongs in that game) and Tropical Freeze (though they did fix the death water).
He's in Donkey Kong 64 though, as a character Lanky can be.
