The small yellow wyngling bounded down the street, and to the large homey building. They lifted their paw, and knocked on the door. Alma opened it, expecting an adult, or one of wynsiphs residents. She looked around, but saw no one.
"Down here!" a little voice called from the ground. She looked down to see a young, yellow wyngling, not more than a week old.
"Well hello there little one, where are you from?" she asked, hopefully trying to get some info about them.
"Uhhh....Earth?" They asked, tilting their head. How this young of a wyngling knew the planets name, and not where they came from was beyond Alma.
"Hehe, do you know what your mommy or daddy look like?" She asked, prodding for more questions.
"Uhhh, mommy is yewwo..like me?" They responded, almost looking as if they regretted saying that.
"Why are you here? Are you lost?" This kid was just plain confusing her now! How could they not know?
"Well I- uhhhh, mommy gave me to a tan gro.. told him to give me to 'alma'. Who is that?" they asked again.
"I am, you will be staying with me, at the nook, here! What's your name?"
"Umm, It'ssss........ I uh... don't.. know" They looked down, embarrassed.
"Oh my...did your momma give you a name?" she asked, bewildered. The yellow wyngling shook their head no.
"Hmmm. You came this far, how about.... Quest? Do you like that?"
"YEA!!!" the wyngling suddenly yelled, startling Alma.
"Oh! Are you a boy or a girl?" She asked, hoping not to hit a soft spot.
"Uhhh- I dunnnoooo-?"
"Well. They/Them for you, haha" She proceeded to pick them up, and take them inside
"Welcome home"

PFFF- this is so bad but I had to finish this. Quest's mother was young and just dropped him into the mayors arms. Quite literally! Maybe thats why they seem... absent minded.
