The Imperial Fleet (NAVIS IMPERIALIS) is responsible for the fleets of warships that soar between the stars and planets in the Imperium as well as engaging threats both inside and outside the Imperium’s boarders.

The Departmento Munitorum is devoted to the general administration, supply and command of the Imperial Army (Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum) and transportation of troops and equipment to and from theaters of war.

The Merchant Fleets are one of the oldest organizations in the imperium, predating the Emperor’s domain and dating back to the dark age of Technology itself when the original Merchant charters were issued as part of Humanity’s expansion into the galaxy. The Merchant fleet deals only in trade and compose almost 90% of all interstellar spacecraft in the Imperium. As a result, they are supremely wealthy.

The Praeses Mercatura is the military arm of the Merchant fleets of the imperium, clad in midnight blue, they are lightly armed forces designed around protection and internal security they ultimately answer to the Speaker for the Chartist Captains and protect the Speaker’s personal domain on Terra.

Rogue Traders are a combination of freelance explorer, conquistador and merchant. Their task to explore and exploiting uncharted regions of the galaxy, Rogue traders might come across worlds long forgotten human civilizations which will be incorporated into the Imperium. Other times they find empty or alien-dominated planets ripe for colonization or exploitation.

The League of Blackships of the Astra Telepathica are technologically advance feared transports filled with mournful psykers held in cavernous, psi-shielded holds covered in anti-psychic warding and constructed from a psychically resistant ebony metal to be taken back to terra to feed the voracious psychic appetite of the Emperor. The Blackships are overseen by members of the sister of silence, captained by senior adepts of the Astra Telepathic and crewed by well-trained and equipped standard humans.

The BASILIKON ASTRA is the Void fleet of the Adeptus Mechanicus, these fleets are independent of the larger Imperial Navy. Because of the Quest for Knowledge can involve long, arduous forays into unexplored space, it is important that they be heavily armed and armoured. This is not only for their own protection but to engage in combat when necessary to secure vital data or artefacts that may prove crucial to the quest.

Orbital Torpedo Launchers missile batteries that can attack from a distance to disrupt an enemy advance and deliver a lethal blow to approaching enemy fleets.

The Civil Fleets contain several thousand privately-owned (Individuals, families or trading Cartels) interstellar craft operating along routes licensed by the fleet authorities responsible for shipping within that Segmentum.
