There's an almost Aeon Flux (the great cartoon, not the pathetic movie) element to your rendition -- not that I think the Major would be out of place in an Aeon Flux episode, mind you!

I hope I haven't inadvertently led you astray.
I remembered the influences of AF on GITS were largely stylistic as opposed to character when you move beyond the obvious sexual candy.
AF is presented as nymphomanic leather clad dominatrix who works as a lone assassin in a world that is an acid trip version of "A Brave New World" and "1984" combined.
Motoko takes the same assertive female traits but pours them into a haiku about an unintentionally (?) kinky latex & lingerie clad bi-bored-borg-sexual super cop with a crew in a world that plays like a prequel to "Blade Runner."
