I came up with this character concept for my inflation curse mythos today, and I love her already.

At first glance, you might think this Pokémon is a Minun, but take a closer look at her cheeks and tail. This Plusle — affectionately known as "Pluffy" — has been afflicted with an incredibly rare inflation curse. It elasticised her torso, allowing her to willingly inflate herself into a floating balloon, and deflate just as easily... though she tends to involuntarily puff up when she feels strong emotions. The only downside is that it's stained her fur cyan, and it becomes more pronounced as she expands. It's like the blimp fruit from Super Mario Galaxy 2, only permanent.

Pluffy travels around the Grass Continent, drifting wherever the wind blows and landing when she finds a settlement. She's searching for a cure for her brother, a Minun who's swelled into a big, red berry. The fact that Pluffy can control her inflation makes her of much interest to researchers — especially since a Pokémon can only be afflicted by one inflation curse at a time. As Pokémon grow more and more desperate, turning blue seems like the best way to protect themselves...
