To save giving the entire internet a biology lesson again, let's just say that having a heart attack/diabetes etc etc has a lot more to do with the shit you're stuffing in your mouth all day than the amount of lard you're lugging around on your body. That said, the stuffing of the shit has the rather awkward side-effect of the development of the lard, but that's not the only way to get fat.

Your doctor wants you to be healthy. So does your dietician, if you have one. Eating in excess is not unhealthy, but you do have to know what you're doing, to make sure you eat the right things and keep your health in order. In addition to that there are physical problems like bone and muscle strain that have to have action taken against them. Your doctor and dietician work on the assumption that you don't know these things, because otherwise they get fired. What I should have said is that it's possible to be healthy at any weight, but you do have to know what you're doing.
