-The Secret Society of Super-Villains-

Different from my other team redesigns, this one focus on a team of super villains; specifically the Legion of Doom a.k.a. the Injustice Gang a.k.a. the Secret Society.  Took some liberties with the line up compare to the cartoon counterpart from the Superfriends (though Toyman, Giganta, Scarecrow and Bizarro are additional members along with other villains).  The thirteen members I want are as follow.

  • Lex Luthor: De Facto Leader of the group.  Formed the team out necessity due to lose of many of his resources and needing to restart his life as a full time convict.  He personally does not care about the well being of those he work with as long as they suit his goals.
  • The Riddler: Nygma, like Luthor, is a genius especially when it comes to coming up with plans or solution to problems the other members couldn't solve.  He is very useful for coordination, hacking and just overall mental related tasks, but he is an hinderance due to his lack of combat experience AND insufferable personality.  Not to mention his tendency to leaving out clues.
  • Captain Cold: Being an experience convict, Snart will serve as a second in command to Luthor (similar to their New 52 portrayal).  Personality wise he would more or less be the more down to earth member who is naturally liked by all the other criminals due to his relatability and charisma.
  • Black Manta: David Hyde will definitely be the Legion's enforcer due to his combat prowess and connection in the the black market due to his piracy.  He is also will be a psycho for hire as compare to the other members hatred for their respective heroes, Hyde has an unhealthy obsession with wanting to kill Aquaman.
  • Cheetah: Barbara, thanks to her own knowledge in archeology, serves as the groups guide to all magical related artifacts that would aid the villains in their cause.  Compare to Manta, Cheetah also has a desire of killing her rival (Wonder Woman); but its as a means to end her curse as the Cheetah rather then an obsession.  Other then that she is also pretty laid back similar to Cold.
  • Solomon Grundy: The undead dim-witted muscles of the group who serves Luther under the false promise of money.  I also like to include that Grundy is also a dimensional displaced being hailing from Earth-2 as evident from the fact of his hatred towards Green Lantern (despite not having fought Hal Jordan) and confusing the Justice League with the Justice Society.  Want him to be a walking case of Mandela Effect and a reference to that one Justice League of America comic.
  • Gorilla Grodd: I figure out of all the characters who would work best as a starscream it would definitely be Grodd.  Like Luthor he is a hyper intelligent genius with ambitious goals of conquest; but unlike him he is a lot more affable allowing him to make allies easier then Luthor (besides the whole mental powers).  I want him to basically instigate a sort of civil war among the ranks of the Legion.
  • Sinestro: Speaking of non-dedicated allegiance, Sinestro is another character who is in it for his own agenda.  He only allied with them because they promise to help build up his own Corps and overthrow the Guardians of the Universe.  He view working with Luthor as less of him being subsordient to the human but rather a temporary alliance for when he mass produce the yellow powers from Qward.
  • Brainiac: I like to view this character as just a Godzilla Threshold for the Legion, as his goals does NOT line up with the Legion.  Brainiac has a tunnel goal of acquiring knowledge of the greatest civilization of every worlds and destroy said planets once he acquired them.  He's only with them for his own goals and desire, while the Legion wants to manipulate him as he has the necessary tech and power to allow them to beat the Justice League and many other heroes that would challenge them.
  • Vandal Savage: Veteran supervillain from Earth-2.  Savage join the team for two reasons: a form of sanctuary  to evade capture from his hated enemies (the Justice Society), and he view the Legion as a vital group to continue his legacy.  Basically he would play the mentorship role among these criminals giving advise and suggestion as to how to carry out the plans.
  • Deathstroke: The thing I like about Slade besides his warp sense of honor code is that, first and foremost, he is a mercenary.  His placement in Legion is less to do with some personal agenda he has nor some favor he owed to Luthor, but rather that he was paid to work alongside them.  Anything involving taking on enemies he have a score with (Green Arrow, the Titans, etc) is merely just a bonus to working with the Legion.
  • Emerald Empress: Villainess from the distant future and significant member of the Fatal Five.  Like Savage, she joins the group as a sort of sanctuary to evade capture from the Legion of Super-Heroes.  As far as characterization goes, I kind of want to play her off as an Ascended Fangirl seeing how most likely all these collection of villains from the past are what inspired her to become the megolomaniacal sociopath that she is (kind of like a twisted take on how the LoSH are towards Superman).
  • Black Adam: Former inheritor of the Power of SHAZAM, and a fallen hero who only joined to get back at the Wizard for betraying him by defeating and taking the powers of the current inheritor who resides on a different Earth from his own.  I like to envision him as the Token "Good" Teammate as really he does still retain a moral code unlike the other characters, just that his own anger and wrath blinds him to look past the shady action of his allies for the sake of revenge. And like Grundy and Savage, he originated from Earth-2 . . . I decided that the Power of SHAZAM can be given to any beings from any universe's Earth instead of relagate it to one Earth.  Rock of Eternity does exist in a dimension outside of Earth.
