Description
Was bored one night and decided to flip through my sketchbooks. I came across this sketch of Luna and decided to color it.
I originally had no clue which direction I wanted to go. My new bold, cartoony style didn't really fit with this sketch so I decided to play around with some new brushes and try my hand at a more painterly look.
It's not my best attempt but I like it all the same.Β

Not going to lie. It was actually pretty fun not having to sketch out a whole new piece and jumping straight into inks/colors.Β

I think it's fantastic BigPonyMac!Β Your bold colors really makes your drawings standout compared to many other artists. Take a look at SophieCabra's for example.Β Her art instantly stands out because of the sketchy colors she uses.Β Don't sell your strengths short ^^

I think you did a remarkably good work on this one. I like the pose you gave her and, even though it became clichΓ© to draw her with the moon in background, it stays visually beautiful. Perhaps that smile helps a lot too.

Yeah, I knew the moon was clichΓ© but the picture desperately needed something in the background. This wasn't a picture I was trying real hard on. It was more of an experimental piece and a means to get some creative juices flowing so I didn't really care about using overdone ideas. lol
