This is a great looking theme and I'm hoping to tweak it and use it! I am running into a few problems however:
1. double-clicking the icons does not open up any bubbles. I tried following the "5 steps" in the readme of creating a launcher and then drag/drop on the icon, but it doesn't work.
2. I get some error with conky and the -s option in the console:
$ ./tonky
Conky: desktop window (1a000b6) is subwindow of root window (15a)
Conky: window type - override
Conky: drawing to created window (0x3e00001)
Conky: drawing to double buffer
Conky: Unable to load image '-s'
Conky: Unable to load image '-s'
Conky: Unable to load image '-s'
Conky: Unable to load image '-s'
Any suggestions?

Hey, I love your theme but I'm having troubles installing it. I'm sort of a linux noob still. I moved the tonkysoil to the .themes directory as per directed but when I try to customize the them it shows tonkysoil along with the other themes, but instead of a picture there is a big question mark and when I select it it states that "This theme will not look as intended because GTK+ theme 'tonky' is not installed." Would you happen to know what I'm doing wrong?

Just noticed someone else had the same problem and you offered a solution (sorry, I thought I had read all the comments but apparently not). I haven't fixed it yet and I have to run but I'll get back to it later, and hopefully I won't have anymore problems. Thanks and again, love your theme.

LOVE the theme, but I'm having a problem with Tonky. I went through the readme (I'm not using that particular GTK2 theme or icon set). I put everything in their places, and put a songbird script into the ~/.tonky folder. I found someone else's conkyrc file and put it into the ~/.conkyrc folder. I restarted, to find no conky. Opened up a terminal and put in "conky" only to be replied by "no exiting block" or something in that area. Any way I could see the exact conkyrc file you are using? (This is my first time using Conky, and have no experience with programming or anything in the realm of writing my own config files)

Hey man. Nice work. Your wlanscript.sh wasn't working for me. I ended up changing the line to
lq=$(iwconfig wlan0 | grep 'Link Quality' | awk '{print $2}' | awk -F= '{print $2}' | awk -F/ '{print ($1 / $2)*100}' | awk -F. '{print $1}')

Love the theme RZA - I hacked together a script for those of you who use Songbird that shows artist, songtitle, album, and coverart for those of you who use songbird. You can check it out at this thread: [link]

Interesting. I like this, but I'm still learning about the various Linux things. I'm running Arch Linux right now. Can you keep your ears open for questions I have later? I can't do this now, but eventually I might try to install this.

cool, thanks. you can keep this off your head for now, though. I really won't be trying this soon.

is it possible for you to share the token icons in svg? or suggest how to easily mass convert them to svg?

Hey there - I simply LOVE these theme you have running, but I just cant seem to get the conky theme running. ive configured everything as per the readme, but im getting the error below
Conky: Unable to load image './pix/System/Task_Manager.png'
Conky: Unable to load image './pix/System/Memory.png'
Conky: Unable to load image './pix/System/Clock2.png'
Conky: Unable to load image './pix/System//wlan100.png'
Conky: Unable to load image '-s'
which just repeats constantly. i think it may have something to do with not having a clue how to enable --enable-imlib2... how is this done? im totally lost and i thought i had a decent grasp on all of this!!

I like your tonky setup! However, I'm having problems configuring it though. So far I've managed to install the Black_Gnome icons set, how do I install the token icons?
Also, I can't get the Air GTK theme to work. I moved ./TonkyDesktop/gtkTheme/tonkysoil to ~/.themes like the readme says, but in the 'Appearance Preferences' the tonky theme has a big question mark on it, and when I click on it it says 'This theme will not look as intended because the required GTK+ theme 'tonky' is not installed'

BigRZA In reply to the-eddster [2009-09-10 18:03:21 +0000 UTC]
thanks that you like it. to use the gtk theme you have to open Customize in the Appearance Preferences and choose tonkysoil from there. to use token icons i converted them to .svg and replaced them in ~/.icons/Black-Gnome/scalable. i hope this will help you
