Two of the greatest of their generations, and thankfully both still with us - here's hoping the United States can finally get some much-needed TLC

OMG This is an awesome one!! So glad u could find this I remember when I met the QE2. This was near the end of my service and I was really feeling depressed but meeting her gave me some form of hope.

I always found that funnel on the QE2 odd but interesting.

Just stunning! Two of the last great liners together! Incidentally, QE2 is my favourite ship, though I like all ocean liners and cruise ships.

the QE2 was the last true oceanliner beside the QM2, everything now is a land hugging cruiseliner

Unlike the QM2, everything else is a cruiseship, not designed to transverse the world's oceans like the QM2 was

When and Where was this? sometime in the 70's wasn't it? Because QE2 wasn't lauched until '69. Althought it looks like the United States is steaming under her own power.

QE2 entered service the same year the United States was withdrawn, so this could ONLY have occurred in a very short window of time!
