lovely shading and design, and the rainbow coloring on the wings is a really neat touch. love the shaping of the muscles and the dynamic posing, an just all around great job

Glad you like it, and thanks for the DeviWatch! What you said, sir, is what I wanted to achieve when I was working on it. Though the final product has its flaws (weird shading around its neck etc), still you recognized where my effort put in, feel great, thanks again.

Fantastic! I adore the design. I'm a bit unsettled by that human face, though. >.> I've always loved the liony part of sphinxes, but not so much the human face... XD Even so, this design is masterfully executed.
Also, I totally dig the golden shorts. 8D

I planed draw an unmasked face sketch beside it, got some ideas, something horror, or something horribly cute, couldn't make up my mind, so I just stopped right there. Well, what's more interesting in your opinion?

Hmm... I think that cute would have a very creepy effect. Like... a babyish face. With big, black eyes. But I hate babies. XDD So maybe everyone else would just be like "aww, he's so cute," when I'm over here shuddering in a corner. >.>
With a neck and a head like that, I almost feel like he should have the facial structure of an alien. And I mean, like, an AVP alien. [link] With no eyes and everything.

It has a couple of flaws that bugs me, I'd like to re-draw it when I'm in the mood, maybe I'll give it both seal version and alien version then.
