Aww. Chimchar is my favorite, mostly because she (mine was a "she" anyway) was my very first starter ever, since my very first pokémon game was pearl.
Honestly though, in Heartgold, I would've wanted ALL of the starters. They are all so cute and cool!

My very first was either Red, Blue or Yellow, I can't remember which, but my favourites are probably Yellow and Gold, mainly because the second generation was my personal favourite, and I loved Yellow because pickachu followed you around, I DID enjoy Heartgold a hell of a lot but I lost it, unfortunately. x'D
