Saw some episodes on Youtube recently.

Of course, HOW they travel through space encountering different systems is silly (although in the first season it was implied that some other factor was involved) but there is no doubt that beyond that it was quite good- "Last Enemy," "Earthbound," "The Dorcons," all had excellent endings and not a lack of irony at times.

It is certainly better than most stuff today.

Add you to the ol` friends list, and I won't have to search- lucky I remembered this nifty picture of an Eagle.

Sorry about that!

I added you to the trusty "friends" list, so there's no problem there any longer!

How are you going to handle the basement- by digging a gutter around the edges of the floor, and using a pump or drainpipe?

As for Demordacai- I have a feeling some action is just about to happen! Rune might be one of those who gets folks into a bind!

Currently, I'm working on my part of an art trade with Cajek (what happens when a force of Chaos and evil clashes with creatures of Chaos manufacture?), the cover for that book of mine, "Tales of Pardia," and a few others.

Have you seen Snowy-Ninja's piece, based on Air/Earth? It's under "Favorites," and it's incredible.

Hope to see more from you soon!

Cool, friends then. Im not even sure how to add friends, I just add to the watch list. I probably have 60+ watchees, but really pay attention to 10-15.

Yep, trenching th perimeter, but also ripping up old drains and pipes to inspect and possible replace. So far, Im just throwin out, giving away and moving stuff upstairs. I want to empty the basement to start.

Is snowy ninja one of the latest on yer favs? Flying fox meeting moon? yea it is cool, nice colors and misty, like yer style.

Might post soon,I m drawing a bit, but I dont post everything.

See ya.

Not the best sci-fi show ever, but entertaining.

Of course, if a blast that could move the moon happened on the dark side, wouldn't that have pushed it INTO the earth, not away?

Thanks for the sketch. It brings back memories, and the Eagle is instantly recognizable. As well as the ray gun.

to the layman, yes the moon would go towards the earth, but factor in the boomerang effect, perfected in star trek to whip the moon into a speed that would enable space travel. hehe, just jokin, thanks for looking. you gallery was badazz, nice colors and anthro's .

Thanks!

What is considered to be an anthro, exactly?

Never did quite figure that one out...

Hmmmm, the literal translation is " man-like" so I always considered animals with human charecteristics as anthro.

I have a buddy I follow with a similar style who is doing a sequential storyline, demordicai diamonds, check it out; [link]

So Would that just be the Greater/Golden Gnolls, or the Pardians (e.g. Todd, Captain Stellarwing, Miss Wallaby) as well? There seems to be more than one definition, and I still haven't figured it out yet.

I read the comic- interesting. If the "deal" is what it might appear to be (hopefully not), then a female Golden Gnoll would've torn the whole tavern apart then and there...

you got me. Im more marvel comics type.

haha, you read all or demordicai? Rune's deal? hehe. I guessd early on she was kinda trampy. I drew fan art or her stripping [link]

and he was shocked that i guessed part of the story. Im waiting for more fights though.

Those are characters at my own gallery- they'd be under "Pardians."

Golden Gnolls are actually a sort of super-golem created by Yeenoghu, Demon Lord of Gnolls, but Lolth, demon-spider goddess of the Drow, tried to destroy them, as she was told a prophesy that they would be the death of her and her people.

Not knowing that the worst way to stop such a fate is to try to stop it (ask Oedipus and Pharoah), they ended up going through an alien Chaos, that made them far superior to what even Yeenoghu imagined. Only their chaotic good alignment prevents them from serving him, but they were the hated enemies of the Drow.

The surface-dwelling Golden Gnolls and the subterrain-dwelling Drow fought a number of skirmishes, which the Gnolls won every single time.

Finally, as it had to be, there was a final battle in the underworld, where all the Drow, their monsters, and Lolth herself went up against 1,000 Golden Gnolls (cubs and females are never sent into battle, although some High Priestesses were present). There, the demon goddess and her people were forever destroyed in that reality. Needless to say, this caused quite a shift in the balance of power in the Abyss.

Golden Gnolls, being golems of a sort, do not reproduce as most others do- but living in the AD&D worlds, they are of course aware of how that usually works. They do not like humans, and any such thing, even implied- as it may be in that comic- would be a grievous insult. That tavern would be wreckage, along with the ones who started it- unless an IMMEDIATE apology was offered!

I only read part, I guess- the part where that devil-fellow washes ashore, and meets that vixen-type (Rune, I guess). I thought that she simply needed protection, so as not to be sold into slavery. With someone like that other character, she'd be fairly safe. So, the 29 pages or so.

Wow, quite in depth. Ever consider doing a storyline like jacob? I want to but it sure is hard.

Golems are animated dirt by magic, right? So you are influenced by Ad&d i can see bits of it. Did you enjoy LOTR ?

Im roadtripping today, from detroit to knoxville, but Ill be online too, hopefully Ill get some drawing done too. I have some fleshed out storylines, but more sci fi horror. I do love swordplay though.

It would be tricky here, since the AD&D stuff is copyrighted. The monsters here are based on the 1977 Monster Manual.

The characters were originally made for an AD&D game I was refereeing. To avoid any copyright issues, the humourous versions were called "Aracuhuroo." Later versions of the game are mostly unknown to me. I'm not quite sure how I came up with them; it was two decades ago, although they were not as well drawn back then. They were actually meant to be a foil to human invasion, since humans can only overrun them through sheer, vast numbers. The best Golden Gnoll mages can reach 22nd level of magic use, but this is more than compensated for by the fact that most attacks do not affect them; that, and the fact they can cast spells while in physical combat. The tricky thing was the fact that they are a relatively unknown race, so whoever attacks them rarely has any idea of just what they are getting into.

If Gnolls were in legend before AD&D, then no problem; it would be like Elves, Trolls, Dwarfs, Vampires, etc.- public domain. It is a fact that Lord Dunsany had something like them, but those were "gnoles." But even if Gnolls are, it's a sure bet that Drow and Lolth are AD&D. So again, there is that copyright issue.

Originally, a golem was a creature made of clay, animated by magic. For gaming purposes, they can be anything. What Golen Gnolls are exactly is not certain, but they seem to be living creatures, although without the normal vulnerabilities. They may be much like Elric's sword Stormbringer, or the Chaos Shield, since unrestrained Chaos in the Abyss does not affect them. Even Gremlins have no effect on them.

AD&D did influence the Gnolls, but not Pardia, or the Ar-Kenjanians. For a while, I did study actual magic, but the only thing I can actually do is to use a forked stick to find water. So can my neighbor.

LOTR was sort of 50/50. I did not like the way Peter Jackson changed much of the story, and the way some of it was overdone (like the rock and the well in Moria- in the book, it was eerie and suspensful; the 1978 cartoon did that, too). But other things were nicely done, like the kinder side of Borimir.

I'm looking forward to what you have planned. There is so much here at DA, from GreyOfPTA's hilarious anthro spoofs of the genre to, well...where to start? Let's see...have you ever seen any "StupidFox" art here? If not, type it in the search engine now, and get ready to be another fan!

Good luck!

yea, eagles are cool. Too bad they blow up like pintos though, haha.

Some guy on here is doin a space 1999 comic. It would be a great thing to remake with modern spec effects and better uniforms. It should be a heavily armed military base kickin the shit otta aliens Kirk style, hehe.
