A commissioned portrait of one of my fave Hollywood icons, Jimmy Stewart.
Graphite and white pencil on A4 dreadnought grey Canford paper.

I am as in love with this piece as I am with the subject himself. Stewart was one of the more realistic actors of his time, and this portrait captures his amiable, soft spoken nature in spades. Well done!

I know what ya mean, getting back to pencil work (probably my First Love - in art) I used to draw 1 (one) a day, THIS year only One of Carol Burnett = a commission for a fan in 90210
I may follow ya and do much more next year . . .

Another familiar face - hey Victor!
It's taken me a while to realise just how overreliant I had become on digital techniques so my resolution for 2014 is to draw one sketchcard every single day for the whole year. That's the plan anyway. It might fizzle out after a week, who knows. BUT the important thing is the intention is there, and sometimes that's all it needs to be to start something great.
