Their screams deafen my ears,
They shatter my insides and shake the ground I walk on,
They scream for help their wretched souls being torn apart,
I can see them being abused, beaten, and battered,
Their lifes ripped apart, raped, and shattered,
My body aches, my hands shake, and slowly their pain takes,
It takes my hope away and my innocence,
Making me feel helpless like a medieval peasent,
They soak their pillows at night screaming for relief,
Their hearts breaking from the preasure of being alone,
A broken child, a broken life, and a broken home,
The beatings will go one until someone steps up,
Or the poor hearts of the children stop,
These children aren't alone,
We know it happens but we don't step in,
We are afraid....but of what?
