Sorry, but both shows were dreck, Shazam in particular (and please, don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about-I grew up in the 1970's and saw them on TV as a kid [I was born in 1968, and am 45 as of last month]). I'll say this; the art is great, but little more than that (if I were reviving either series, Shazam would be based on the comic book, with Billy Batson being a poor kid who was abused by Dr. Silvana while under adaptation to him, leaving him, going to school and finding Mary and Freddie Freeman [as well as Uncle Dudley], getting an internship at WHIZ, and then becoming Captain Marvel, with all of the fighting and stuff going on in Fawcett City, and all of the bag guys from the comic involved-IBAC, Black Adam, and the Silvana family.) None of this nonsense about him and 'Mentor' travelling the USA in a RV.
AS for Isis? Not that many changes to the show.

Except this doesn't happen in DC's post-New 52 comics universe. In fact, I don't think Shazam (which is the name he officially goes by now because Marvel Comics and it's dumb) has his own title. I think he's just a relegated guest star.
However, during the weekly 52 miniseries, we see Isis as the wife to Black Adam who are the leading rulers of Kandahk (Kandahq? Kahndaqh? Ugh, gotta check a wiki on the spelling.)

Both shows were pretty terrible. Which is why I dreamed up this "modern" revival.... just a bit of fun. Weird old guy in a van who lives with teen boy--- I don't think that would fly in this day and age!

Isis was my 1st grade crush. Yes, I'm that old. I was fascinated at how a science teacher could turn into an Egyptian goddess by just saying a word.

Hilariously, I believe they recently officially changed his name to "Shazam" with the New 52 launch so that Marvel would stop throwing fits about his name.

true, but to me his name is and always should be Captain Marvel regardless of whatever nonsense DC does with Billy like changing his name (calling him Shazam is like calling Batman gadgets and awesomeness or many different masters who trained him) or taking a great light character then changing him into a dark and gritty douche
PS. I love Marvel but if one of their lawyers throws a hissy fit over the name then I don't give a shit, Billy Batson is Captain Marvel not Mar-Vel and not Carol Danvers (who I do like a lot but as Ms. Marvel)
