I felt the portrayal could have been better if you mirrored the main character by having his sword face the villains and his back towards his friends which watches and adores him from behind. This way his sword would be keeping the enemies at bay and fill the void on the wallpaper where the other characters are introduced, filling the whole scene better.

I love this drawing!!! This is extremely beautiful!! The colors are great and the face expressions are also awesome. The drawing style suits so well too. What I would have liked more is to see a few part of the main pirate's leg but it's not a problem, just tastes. However, I'd have really liked the girl with green eye to be also surrounded by a flame... but when I'm thinking about it I'm thinking it may not be bad. I fact the idea is a pirate map. So if you go from the center, there's the main character, you follow the sword and then you follow characters just like you follow a road wich will lead to these people. The people are from the shorter to the bigger like the pirate down was some kind of final boss. And the green eyed girl is up. She is not a part of the flame but her look looks kindly just like she is guiding the hero like a compass. In a real map that would be the position of the compass.
Plus, she's not a part of the sword just like the hero won't meet her but like he already know her. Maybe I'm imagining too much xD But your piece allowed me to imagine a story so it's a masterpiece.
It's a map that doesn't show places to visit but people to meet and that's what makes an adventure. Sakmoto Tatsuma said(okay it's a weird man to quote but who cares) "Planets are just rocks. It takes people to make it a world. You can have as many "Earths" as you want". Congrats!!

Β This is a quantum LEAP in Character design and development! It reminds me so much of the box-art for Escape from Monkey Island, how it's stylized to look like a Movie Poster, and every element just grabs the viewer's attention!
Please, tell me you have a Comic somewhere, or at the very least, a game planned for production! I just can't favorite this hard enough.Β
