Edit 03/2013 I had to add a watermark to this image because I am finding it on sites like photobucket, tumblr and facebook without my permission. In other words its getting ripped off and passed off as other peoples property!i just found my other cf card from my caribbean cruise. I shot this same cloud formation with my other 30d and my ultra wide. I knew that i had this image and for over a month i have been crazy in trying to find that dam cf card. (it was in the bottom of my camera pack!

oh my god, this is such a beautiful photo!
the low horizon lets the viewer take in the majesty and wonder of the giant cloud, and the horizon isn't so low as the foreground is overpowered by the background. this is a great blend of both the back and foreground. there is an amazing array of colors, with great contrast. the dynamics are great, my eyes are just completely absorbed by this photo. my eyes are bouncing all over the photo, but not in a way as though i'm lost of what to look at, but as in a way of exploring the photo. great composition, great blending of elements. all in all, an amazing photograph, a true work of art. 10/10

I didn't! Gawd did! I was just lucky enough to capture it on a cf card! In fact i had not noticed the rainbow until later that evening when i started to edit the image!

The rainbow offers some much needed colour into what is otherwise quite a dark shot.
Lighting is grand and colour balance is to a very high standard.
My personal opinion is that I would have preferred the lighthouse to be more prominent, and would probably have gone for it on the left.
But it is still a top drawer shot.
