Ugh, I wish I knew how to this kind of stuff! Why can't I get a job!? I can't get the tech for this awesomeness.

There are plenty of tutorials here on DA. But the best advice I can give is practice, practice, practice. You don't need any special "tech" to do this. Good old pencil and paper will do. And if you want to work digitally, there are lots of free alternatives to Photoshop

I haven't been on DA for such a long time. It's so refreshing to be greeted with such a great piece.

It was no contest which of the two images I had to comment on; this or the β€˜final’.

Where do I begin?
The lines are perfect
The colours are fantastic.
To composition is powerful.
The depth is suitably over-the-top, without being intrusive.
By my favourite part…that wonderful highlight on the left side of Ego’s face (our β€˜right). Sublime!

This could easily be mistaken for Pixar concept art. I know you’ll appreciate that statement for the compliment it is.

This is brilliant, what program did you use for this?

Thanks. I just used plain old Photoshop. I think 7, but it could've been CS3. I've got different versions on different laptops

Cool. If you need any tips just ask. Also there are a bunch of tutorials here on DA that are really helpful.

Wow, I'm always surprised whwn I see a good job in 3-d...
For me the 3d dimension is a mistery, I'm not able at all to use 3d programs.
COOL!!!

Nope, not 3D. Just the weird way my mind works. I broke the face down into simple shapes to help me draw it.
