Description IF anyone was actually paying attention to my account im going to apologize for both kind of ignoring da for a while and for the fact that you may have so little to do that you actually cared to notice i was gone

I played the demo of PixelJunk Shooter game recently and saw that it had the most amazing 2d fluid simulation thing i have ever seen, so i felt like trying to recreate something similar to their awesome graphics
and by similar i mean not even close

this was actually surprisingly simple to create with the Actionscript Physics engine
not for me of course cuz i dont know jacksh*t >.<

in my opinion this isnt all that great so i would like any advice you could give me
but if you want to know how to create this you could either ask for the source or for some places where i learned how to to this

Controls:
arrows spin ball
up arrow jumps
space creates fluid
clicking attracts/repels the fluid
R toggles whether to attract or repel
Q shows where the physical particles are
P pauses
and L gets rid of some particles

hold Q
maybe make it optional to have the water attract or repel to the ball

PS. I would like to know how you went about creating the fluid from physical particles

thank you

you just take the particles and blur them in a bitmapdata then use the threshold method to pick it all up as a solid color

this is where i learned [link]

thanks! It works like a charm and adds a sweet effect to a game I'm currently producing.
