Bilou, have you tried metal etching? You'd be a natural, let me tell you. I actually used to metal-etch and then water-colour paint the prints. You already have a good, solid command of lines, so carving into a metal plate wouldn't be all that difficult, I bet! Just checking if you've ever tried this.

It's a very good idea, but I really don't know how I can do that... I really love those old metal etching artwork. This is exactly what I had in my mind when I did those last drawing with pen-and-ink. But I don't know how to do that... And I don't know if I'm able to do that.

It's a lot easier than you think, trust me. I would:

- Draw a picture.
- Tape copy paper on a thin metal plate.
- Trace the picture on copy paper (like credit cards use for transferring writing) to get the lines on the plate.
- Grab a metal pen and carve the lines in the plate.
- Ink plate.
- Press plate <-- (need a press here, which would be something where you can go to a school and see if Art Class has one.)
- Get a good print.
- Paint print!

It's really as simple as that. But the deal is getting your hands on the materials. This is easier if you're enrolled in an art class, or asking where this can be done at an art store. Some metal etching uses acid to burn the plate, but I've not done that kind, really. It's great fun though, to get to the finished product.

Ok ! I'll do some researches... And we'll see... I have a project in my mind which maybe can work with this technic, but it's a lot of work... Thanks for the tips !
