Literally the only inspiration for this is the stupid pun.

Now and then I have a "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" phase and during the latest, this same dumb idea kept coming up. Of course in my fervour to exploit the stupid pun I failed to acknowledge that "Sangokushi" is only the Japanese name and I only know it from downloading the soundtracks to the endless horde of Japanese video games based on the book, which has never been identified as "Sangokushi" in my presence, and there is, further, probably little overlap between people familiar with that title and the koshizu lizard. Nonetheless, this picture exists and we are going to have to come to terms with that.
