This is my WIP cosplay of Gary Oak, with the finished wig, some halfassed makeup, the shirt I made and a Pokeball. I have to fix a seam on the shoulder of the shirt. Also, if you see any boob wrinkles, sorry; I didn't feel like putting on the compression vest, and it didn't occur to me until I was already wearing the shirt, so...yeeeah. Just sort of skipped that part.Did the wig and shirt myself. Sorry for the shitty camera quality.

honestly, I'm not sure. In order to get the back to go straight up, I had to blast the very roots of the wig hair with so much heat that they would be fused into place (aka, partially melted). I'm genuinely uncertain as to whether or not this would be achievable without causing lasting damage on real hair/a real head. xD;

I love ur gary wig!! i dressed like gary last year at anime expo and i had so much trouble styling the wig! could u plz give me some pointers on how u got the spikes so perfect and what u used to style it? plz! plz plz! what wig did u buy, thats like the perfect color i was lookingfor cuz he doesnt have exactly brown hair, it kinda has some red in it.

Got2BGlued blasting freeze spray is what I use on all my wigs. Apply liberally at roots, smooth up with fingers to avoid flaking and beading, and blast wit hairdryer to dry define spikes with minimal spray to avoid a hard or wet look.
The base was the Punky wig on www.amphigory.com I don't remember exactly which color it was, but it was one of the auburn ones.
