So the really really big news / life stuff that happened last week.... I got married!!!!!!
It's such a wonderful time and feeling, and I literally do not have the words to express how I'm feeling right now. I'm just happy. I wanted to make something for us to celebrate the occasion, and a big "I love you" art for my partner.

The big kicker is that we actually met each other on DeviantArt!!!

I'll always be grateful to website for leading me to him in the first place. I am constantly reminded that you have no idea when you meet someone, that they could completely change your life. He has forever changed mine, and he is also forever stuck with me. It's just one of those things. I realized very suddenly, that he was my favorite person in existence, and I'm never going to leave his side.

About the time we met online, Bingy and Bongo were already in existence, but over time, they naturally began to represent us and our relationship. He was the first person to point this out, that the characters kind of matched our personalities, and ever since it has totally been a thing.

About the piece itself:

Elements that are included in this piece are rather specific. I am from the United States, and he is from Finland, so I wanted a way to tie those two places together in an elegant way. Therefore, I decided to include plants that are native to USA/Finland. I'm really really happy with how the California Poppies came out, as well as the Lilly of the Valley. I kinda got lost in this one, and I'm realizing that I'm actually enjoying including botanicals in my art now.

There are many Finnish colors in this one, since I was the one who immigrated (well, I'm in the process of). there are also nods to the USA colors.

I wasn't planning on including Bingy and Bongo in my Medieval Series, but the series went underway at the same exact time. Once I had the thought, it had to be done.
