Day 12 - Grey Heron

In hindsight, I'm really glad that I included this guy on my prompt list, because this was the month that Boy and the Heron came out! I saw it in theaters the other day, Japanese audio, Finnish subs, and MAN what a trip that was!!!!

Anyway, I have a real soft spot for herons. I grew up on a farm and we have a fairly large pond. We always had BLUE herons (USA). They are one of my favorite birds, and one of my derpberd characters is based on one.

I'm really happy that grey herons are here in Europe, and I can't wait to see one for the first time. They are so mystical to me, and seeing them fly always reminds me of dinosaurs.
