Ahhhh, the beagle.

Some of the cutest puppies to ever exist, and then they grow into Roodogs. What I mean by that is:

We adopted one (black version) when I was about 6 years old as a pup. The pup ran away in less than a month, never to be found. I was devastated. I think my mom was relieved. Anyway, we found him about 5 years later when we were at the vet's for a checkup, and there was our lost pup, fully grown with someone else. The crazy thing was, we had named the pup Buddy. The new owner named him Buddy as well.

He was just a Buddy.

I have lived next to a few of these dogs in my life, and the situation has always been no good for me. Since these dogs are hunting/tracking dogs, they WILL run, so most people keep them tied up whenever they're outside. So what does a tied beagle do? They Roo. All. Day. This is probably the first time in my life that I'm not living next to a barky beagle.

I don't recommend them for most people, because they are a sport dog, they NEED to run, and they are the best when they are allowed to explore. Most people do not have that kind of situation to provide for one of these dogs.

They're dang cute, I'll give them that.

But I'm just not a fan.
