I dunno when deviantart decided to change the site layout, but it sure is weird and will take a little getting used to.

so... another out of the box idea. of all the waterfowl i looked at, i decided upon a pelican (i did try a mallard duck/house cat hybrid, but that's for later), and i tried a puma, but it's hard to tell. To make this either weirder or cuter, i felt that she should carry a pet in her mouth.

Thalassa has lived on the beach her whole life in a small, tight-knit community. She's a very friendly neighbor, and is the type that will bring food to you. She's a little naive, trusting strangers, walking alone at night, and leaving her home unlocked. Her small-town upbringing has kept her parents from letting her visit cities, for they were once urban-dwellers and know that she would not survive in the city. As an adult, she's become a sort of motherly figure in the community although she's not yet a parent. She's often a sitter for children, works in a community center, and takes part in her town charities. Despite her parents objections, she has decided to leave the town to travel for a while, experience new culture, and eventually find someone to bring home to settle down with. She carries a baby otter she was taking care of in her mouth so she can have a little piece of home with her in her travels.
