Ha ha ha, yeah. : D
It's great, because I've been rewatching the Moomin anime and there is an episode where they were mistaken for being hippos by the zookeepers.

It's generally a very soft town series in the cartoon. It's really nice.
Thank ye

Cor, what does that background pattern remind me of...Playstation 1 era? Not that i'm criticising a "lazy" choice, but all those memories of eye-strain and pop-in graphics are evoking sudden, spontaneous twitches...
Perfect proportions, I know if I had attempted this, the result would likely form a family of anthro-potatoes. Stuff of nightmares. And sunday luncheon.
Strangely, I have come across a wide variation of Moomin products on my shelf-supplying adventures in the Amazon, in comparison to zero Pokemon plushes or other childhood garbage we grew fond of. Didn't question it.

I guess so. But, it was made primarily out of screentone effect style brushes in Photoshop, and thus the dotted effect was already made for me in this drawing.
Also, to be honest, The Moomins has been around around for much, much longer than Pokemon.

Shame it doesn't garter as much popularity. Moomins may be fantastical- non-sensical to boast, but it was never as low-brow as that Pokegarbage...
Ahh well.

Actually, as they've lasted since about 1945, I think it was pretty damn popular and still is, at least in Scandinavia & Japan. I mean, it managed to have a good couple of amusement parks open in Nordic countries and Japan. Also had a couple of theatre productions, drama cds, several TV series and merchandise over the years.

Ooh crikey, theme parks? I need to do my research...
Moomins aside, Pokemon still drives me up the wall. But childhood bias will be.
