i've lost my best friend, and i don't know how it happened. we never had a fight. we were there for each other, through thick and thin, i thought we'd make it to the end.

when you moved away, time continually took your place. now that your back, i thought things were back to how it used to be. going to you and talking about whatever had been on our mind, sometimes feeling the silence but never feeling uncomfortable.

but time has changed things, time has changed YOU, while i've stayed the same. now your self-centered and cruel to others feelings! I don't understand it, can't stand it!

we would joke that one day you would tell my kids, your nieces, stories of us growing up and the stupid things we did. we used to laugh together, now its few and far between. didn't people always say that its when you grow older you get along better? why is it with us its backwards?

why is the silence suffocating? why is it all we do is bicker and fight, shut-up in our rooms every day, every night? can't you see a difference between now and before? it seems, i want what will never be again. i want you and i to be friends.
