Description
Hofu is a Toa of Iron, once an FE matoran from the island of Yota Nui. His village was raided before the days of Avarax by legions of Makuta, leaving only a handful left on the southern islands. They merged with the Ta matoran tribe for survival, and he became best friends with Janta. When Avarax came to power, the Dark Hunters invaded, and tore off his left arm during a raid. Despite all these things against him, he maintained an optimistic outlook on life.
He became a toa when the last Turaga of Yota Nui passed on three mysterious stones to him after his death. Hofu became a toa of Iron, and his iron drill became a new arm.
He now follows the leadership of Janta, who sees the overthrowing of Avarax the only method of restoring peace.

He wears a Konohi Kiril, allowing his left arm to remain forever fuctional. The left arm actually spins usuing the gears and a lever on the underside of his left forearm.
