I guess in the sence of younger cats getting mentors it does. But unlike the warriors series, where cats become warriors around 1 year old, the cats here do not even get mentors untill they are 2 years old.

Well not really. You find out who the bad guy is only after the first bad guy appears.
In chapter 3 the first bad guys plan happens and right after that, the bad guy that has already apeared will do something to help the first bad guy get away.

There is a first bad guy they have to beat first. After that one is imprissioned, the bad guy that has been seen, will help the first bad guy escape.
