So I completely ignored that this was supposed to be set in Denmark when I drew it and focussed on finding Victorian dresses that I could take inspiration from, soooo she looks English...but how different could Denmark fashion look in the 1800s..?
obviously I’ve ignored her hair again, it would be put up somehow, but I wanted to change as little as possible and focus on clothing for these drawings.

ariel’s dress was pretty far off the shoulder, which was ~not correct~ for daywear in Victorian times, she had big puffy sleeves at the top and tighter sleeves down the bottom, I’m not entirely happy it’s my sleeves but I’d say they’re a lot more accurate.
