Description Soft pastel on velour paper 30cm x 40cm

Based on this field study of a young white lion at the Raubtierpark in Solothurn done in July 2012. [link]


As the white lion "Zumba" is quite young (born in June 2010) his crane was not very pleasant from an artistic point of view. Therefore, I used the crane of "Jambo" a huge lion from this park

I will probably use this sketch in a future painting!

Thanks a lot pastels are great for vibrant color, sadly several colors are not rendered correctly through the picture
