Description The Infiltrator III was designed specifically for Damage Incorporated, in the late 3090s.  Like many units, the Mech draw downs meant a serious reorganization was required.  But unlike most forces, Dmg Inc relied much less heavily on Mechs than most,  using a heavy Aerospace Fighter Wing and a conventional arms regiment, including a full Battalion of Arrow IV carriers for most of their punch.

Early changes were replacing 3 out of every 4 mechs with equivalent Combat Vehicles, but a decision was made to "level up" their Infantry Arm, particularly their Battle Armor Corp.  To facilitate this,  it was decided that a more automated BA was desirable as it would allow more flexibility in pilots.

So Maverick Industries of Port Moseby would be contracted to build the new design.  Starting off they would purchase the toolings and rights for Albion Advanced Technologies old and obsolete Infiltrator mk I design.  Largely out of use since the FedCom Civil War, Albion let it go for a comparative song.

3 years of R&D would be required to scale it up to a heavy Armor suit, and another 5 before the design was ready for production.  While unable to scale mechs like lighter units, it was envisioned as a compliment to the conventional forces used, able to lay sensor webs ahead of advancing forces, and use their Stealth(I) Armor to set up devastating ambushes with their TAG designators, bringing massive barrages of Arrow IV homing Missiles on the OpFor, before fading away, to set up and do it all again.

with a max speed of 21 kph, it relies on it's heavy (13 pts) Improved Stealth Armor.  Offensively, it mounts the devastating Bearhunter AC in the left arm, with a pulse laser rifle underslung on it's right.  Over it's right shoulder is  TAG designator. Lastly it carries a devastating battle claw, able to easily shred armor in CQB.

Beyond that, the Infiltrator mkIII carries a Remote Sensor Dispenser and an Improved Sensor Suite, making it a solid SpecOps unit, and has extra field viability through it's Enhanced Life Support System.

Paired with Gray Death Scout Armor, the Infiltrator mkIIIs have been very successful for the Regiment, and have done enough damage to Malvina Hazen's Mongols to get official notice from the Archon and Roderick Steiner.
