Ahhhh finally done with this! I was gone for one entire week and a half binge watching Beyblade! Hadn't watched it since I was probably like 6-7 years old? ouo'
I was doing my winter assignment and listening to anime songs, and then it started recommending episodes, in which a random Beyblade episode popped by.
Curiously, I clicked it and watched it, which led to me wanting to watch it all over again once I turned in my assignment. Little did I know there were two other
seasons following the original story!
OMG I was so freaking excited! So that's where I had been, watching anime about spinning tops, and let me tell ya, I was not okay! It might be a silly anime,
but it was 10000% times better than I remembered it. It was really nice getting to see the whole Bladebreakers squad again after such a long time C': When I
was a child, as weird as it is, I used to have the biggest crush on Kai Hiwatari... well... not much has changed! After watching V-Force and G-Revolution I ended up
loving him more ;AAA; /3 There were so many WONDERFUL Beyblade fights with him in V-Force & G-Revolution for sure. Gotta give my top 3 fights wich
were: Kai vs. Brooklyn, Kai vs Tyson and last but not least, Kai vs. Goki. Oh? And one thing that really threw me off was... how weird the "ages" seemed in
each season x'D Like in first season, Kai looks like he could be 14/15, but then in second season he looks like he's fucking 12 and THEN in last season he
looks like he could already be an 18+ adult. What the hell I was so confused since I believe their ages range like 14-16ish in the anime? I could be wrong!
But just a silly thought and observation I did while watching lol
As an overall, I loved Kai's personality and could identify with several of his attitudes and ways of being. I just couldn't help but really enjoy watch him progress
and improve throughout the seasons and get attached to the point of actually crying x'D I just really loved him and I couldn't help but do a fan art of him. Other
characters that I really loved and want to eventually try to make some fan art of gotta be Tala, Ray and Max. This Beyblade is definitely one of those animes that
literally teleport me back in time to my childhood, making me visual those days after lunch watching it with my little brother. Good times! I always wanted to have
a fucking Dranzer, but my dad just didn't understand and would ALWAYS get me the knock off Beyblades x'D Great times from sweet childhood /3
Anyways, about the drawing, what can I say? This has to be the very first time I've EVER made a fan art of an anime that NOT Pokémon related and includes an
actual HUMAN. Kai looks a little weird and it's not perfectly drawn, but I'm incredibly proud of how it came out. I tried really hard and worked on this piece from
sketching, to coloring, and editing around 12 hours. I know it's insane, but I really tried putting effort in this piece. Originally I wanted Kai to be sad because we don't
get to see much of his feelings of "vulnerability," but then again I thought of how little we get to see him smiling out of pure happiness, which is why I ended up
changing his expression ;u; /3 His bit-beast Dranzer is fucking amazing! So I wanted to include Dranzer in the drawing. I decided to make Dranzer a female, even
though I'm pretty sure all bit-beasts are either portrayed as males or "genderles." I guess I kind of liked the idea of Dranzer being more than just his bit-beast or
companion when he was the most lonely. Since nothing much is known or mentioned about his parents, I thought of Dranzer as Kai's protector and thought more of
a female figure for some odd reason.
I could go on and on talking about Beyblade and shit, but I'm sure you guys have read enough ^-^'
So sorry for making the description so long and thanks for taking the time to read to those of you who did. Hope ya'll enjoy this as much as I enjoyed working on
it and can't wait to hear you guy's thoughts and opinions
