Description
This began as a self portrait (never turns out like me...ever) for art class.I was thinking about my favorite poem. Then I went on from there.
But didn't want to over do it, so I left the background plain and didn't finish the face.
"All you did was draw eyes and splash paint."
"OH YEAH! WELL---..."
No one has said that yet. I am waiting for it. But suck on it. I like this simple stuff.

Now you can be the star for a whole month, maybe. Unless I get struck with some lightning bolt that says I have to change my journal sooner.
Do you want to be identified? I could try. I'm a little afraid to mess with it too much, but I could probably get away with putting your icon in. I had to keep deleting deviations until it was small enough to fit into a journal template. Then I changed the journal skin, and it snapped at me. Does your computer do that?
Sounds like someone snapping their fingers. Wanted me to let a pop-up through from dA. I couldn't figure out how to do it. I was sweatin' it there for a minute. I had been manually counting backwards and forwards, taking out pictures and rearranging for hours.
I loved how you described it.

My computer battery took me out. I decided I would not charge it. That was all the time I was going to give myself on line. But, I AM having a hibernate-ish mood myself.
After reflecting about it today, I know some things I want to put in my moleskine. I'm not up for anything heavy, I don't think. You never know exactly what might sneak out of the subconscious once that pencil is in hand.
I have a plan to start out simple, to make friends with it [the journal]. A light hearted theme, but women still -- Which has always been my main genre.
I made a call today and found out the deadline for this year's Breast Cancer Fund-Raiser, which is in October...deadlines are early. They want all the stuff in by July 1. So I know what one of my priorities for June is going to be. That is good, because I am in that Fund Raiser for the Alumni Association which is also in October. I am going to check with them tomorrow to see when their deadlines are, for going to printer and getting advertising started. All that stuff.
It may seem like a long way off for you, but at my age time goes SO fast. October will be here in about 5 minutes, teenage time. Har, har.

Time seems to be flying for everyone. Maybe because we have so much stimulus. But, I remember -- I think you were one of them, reading many people commenting about being bored? That always slows time down. Or, just not wanting to be where you are. That can make it drag. Think that is where the old saying came from, "what a drag"...
Einstein's Theory of Relativity may be correct regarding passage of time.

You're right about the time thing. And I never heard of theory, but it sure sounds interesting. I like the train station analogy very much.
I'm going to Brooklyn College, a city college. Take my core classes and, if I decide to pursue art, transfer to an art school. Or stay. It all depends. I don't want to take chances with my parents money. To pay so much for an art school that I could possibly change my mind about in 1 or 2 years.
