Description After reading about the contest for the deluxe Empowered graphic novel in *AdamWarren 's journal (here: [link] ) I felt a need to draw this. The comp isn't open to anyone outside the US, so Adam is offering an art for someone outside instead. You had to say who your fave Emp-verse character is and why. One of the reasons I love Emp is because she reminds me of Usagi.

Emp ref:
I used a pic of Sailor Moon in her standard pose that I had saved on my computer as the pose ref, though I changed her legs, and tried to make her look like Emp cosplaying as Sailor Moon. And so I wanted to draw Emp's lovely curves. I kinda failed though =TT___TT=

I've wanted to draw Empowered for ages. I just haven't. Yeah.

Was supposed to be a quick pic. 5 hours and multi layers for the line work, then multi layers for the colouring later, and this is what happened. Wanted to leave the BG white.

This is the first time I've seen yours. I thought I was being really clever drawing Emp as Sailor Moon, because to me they seem so similar. I was all like "I bet people have thought of it but no one's drawn it yet..."

It's funny, my other half saw mine and said she should be trying to pull the back of the skirt down complaining that it was too short.

Yeah, after I checked out your page, I had more if a feeling that since we are from the same country and around the same age, we probably had the same influences growing up and both thought that sailor moon and empowered were similar characters.

I wonder how many other people have compared sailor moon and empowered? I want to do more fan art with this (maybe having spooky as sailor mars or sailor moon as empowered) I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
