Here is Ebi, the mascot for my personal art studio, North Station Studio, or Kitta no Eki ( 北の駅 ).

Sato Ebi ( 里蝦 ) was born in the small town of Kakunodate ( 角館 ), to a family who made a living hosting tourists in one of the beautiful, traditional Samurai houses the area is famous for. Her parents were strict but kind, allowing Ebi to explore the natural environment around the town so long as she didn't bother their customers in the house. A guest once left behind a small brown bear wearing a scarf, which Ebi's mother gave to her as a gift for her fifth birthday. Ebi and Jiro ( 二郎 ), affectionately named as Ebi was an only child and he became like a little brother, spent their days exploring the small streams that flowed around the village, catching small fish and crayfish which were then released after they had been studied carefully. Ebi was a curious child, and though she loved the rich landscape that her home provided, she dreamed of traveling. On one sunny morning in May, her mother surprised her with a train ticket to Tokyo, which she was told to ride with her Grandmother who had been in from the city for a visit. Ebi's dream had finally come true! With her yellow bag packed and Jiro by her side, Ebi held her grandmother's hand and waited for the train to arrive to bring them to the wonderland of Tokyo that she had only read about in books. To this day Ebi is still known to be traveling the country, taking trains wherever she chooses, always enjoying the scenery around the different stations that connect her adventures.
